Today we will be traveling to beautiful city of Berat, a 2400 year old city, under protection of UNESCO, known as "Museum City of Albania". You can find buildings from different periods of history. Berat is also known as "City of a Thousand Windows". Our tour will start with the Castle as one the most marvelous sights of the city. There you will learn that Berat was invaded three times by the Ottomans, Romans and Bulgarians to became later on a big principality under the rule of Albanian noble family of Muzaka in the 14th century. You will be able to visit Mangalemi neighborhood, Etnograpfic museum, Marys Church turned to Onufri Museum,The Red Mosque The Church of Saint Mehilli, (Michael) , The Church of Saint Triadha (Trinity) and lots of other monuments. We’ll have a littlebreak to enjoy a traditional lunch. After this we will walk towards the old bridge of Gorica. The architecture of Gorica Bridge holds 7 stone arches, has a length of 129.3 meters, with of 5.3 meters, and height (average) of 3.5 meters. Then we will start our way back to Tirana.
