Brezovicë, KosovoIf you are looking for serious winter sports and deep snow, Brezovica is the place to be. Known for having some of the steepest and most challenging ski runs in the Balkans, this 2-day weekender is built specifically for active travelers who want to maximize their time on the mountain.
Organized by Fiori Travel & Tours Agency (fioritravel.al), we take the stress out of winter driving. We handle the icy mountain roads and the border logistics so you can spend your energy carving up the slopes of Brezovica and Prevallë, before winding down in the historic city of Prizren.
Duration: 2 Days / 1 Night
Difficulty Level: Medium to Challenging (Great for active travelers and experienced skiers)
Minimum Age: 16+
The Early Drive: We want to be on the mountain before the crowds. We pick up in Tirana at 06:00 and Durrës at 05:15 (Note: Durrës departures require a minimum of 9 people). Grab a coffee on the way as we make the drive across the border into Kosovo.
Mountain Time: We head straight for the Brezovica Ski Resort. Sitting high in the Sharr Mountains, you get 3 to 4 solid hours to ski, snowboard, or explore the snowy ridges. If you are new to skiing, our guide can help you rent gear and point you to the beginner-friendly sections.
Lunch & Check-In: When you need a break, grab a heavy, warm lunch at one of the local mountain lodges. In the late afternoon, we load up the gear and head to the hotel to check in, warm up, and relax for the evening.
Morning in Prevallë: After breakfast at the hotel, we head to our second mountain destination: the Prevallë ski center. It offers a completely different landscape and vibe. You can spend the morning getting a few more ski runs in or just walking through the dense, snow-covered pine forests.
Afternoon in Prizren: By the afternoon, we trade the snow for cobblestones. We drive down into Prizren, Kosovo’s most beautiful historic city. You will have plenty of time to walk the riverside promenade, check out the Ottoman-era bridges, and grab a great coffee or lunch in the Old Town.
Heading Home: We wrap up the weekend in the late afternoon, crossing back into Albania via the Morinë border and dropping you off in Tirana and Durrës in the evening.
