Saranda Ksamil Gjirokastër Tours are among the best travel experiences for discovering South Albania in only three days. This tour combines history, nature, seaside relaxation, and some of the most beautiful destinations in the Albanian Riviera. From the stone city of Gjirokastër to the magical Blue Eye, from the coastal atmosphere of Saranda to the turquoise beaches of Ksamil, this program is ideal for families, couples, friends, and groups looking for a well-organized summer escape.

The tour starts from Tirana and Durrës and is designed to offer a complete travel experience without stress. Transportation, hotel accommodation, guided organization, free time, and optional activities are all included in the program structure, making it easy for travelers to enjoy South Albania at a relaxed pace.

Day 1: Tirana – Gjirokastër – Blue Eye – Saranda

Departure from Tirana is planned at 06:00, while departure from Durrës is at 06:30. The journey begins toward South Albania, with a short coffee stop along the way.

The first destination is Gjirokastër, one of the most historic and attractive cities in Albania. Known as the “Stone City,” Gjirokastër is famous for its traditional architecture, old bazaar, stone houses, castle views, and authentic atmosphere. Visitors will have time to explore the city, enjoy its unique character, and experience one of Albania’s most important cultural destinations.

After visiting Gjirokastër, the tour continues to the famous Blue Eye, one of the most beautiful natural attractions in Albania. The Blue Eye is known for its crystal-clear water, deep blue color, and peaceful natural surroundings. Please note that there is approximately 2 km walking distance from the entrance to reach the main attraction, so comfortable shoes are recommended.

In the afternoon, arrival in Saranda, hotel check-in, and free time to enjoy the seaside atmosphere. Dinner will be served at the hotel, followed by a free evening in Saranda.

Day 2: Boat Trip from Saranda

After breakfast, departure from Saranda port for an optional boat or speedboat trip along the beautiful Ionian coast. This is one of the highlights of the Saranda Ksamil Gjirokastër Tours, offering travelers the chance to visit hidden beaches and coastal spots that are best reached by boat.

The boat trip includes stops at:

Krorëz Beach
Kakome Beach
Gremina
Soldier’s Beach
Rrojdhe Bay

Return is planned around 16:00.

Dinner will be served at the hotel.

Please note that if weather conditions are not suitable for sailing, the boat trip may be cancelled by the authorities. In that case, beach time will take place near the hotel instead.

The Ancient Echoes of Butrint: A Journey Through Time with Fiori Travel & Tour

Embark on an unforgettable odyssey from the vibrant, modern pulse of Tirana to the serene, emerald-shrouded ruins of Butrint. This isn’t just a sightseeing trip; it is a curated pilgrimage through the rise and fall of civilizations, meticulously organized by Fiori Travel & Tour Agency.

As a UNESCO World Heritage site, Butrint is more than just a collection of stones—it is a living chronicle of Mediterranean heritage, cradled within a lush National Park where the Ionian Sea meets the tranquil waters of Lake Butrint.

The Departure: From the Heart of Albania to the Deep South

Your day begins in the early morning light of Tirana. As you settle into a premium, climate-controlled vehicle provided by Fiori Travel, your expert guide—a local connoisseur of history and folklore—sets the stage for the journey ahead. The drive itself is a scenic masterpiece, traversing the rolling hills of central Albania before descending toward the dramatic coastline of the Albanian Riviera.

Along the way, Fiori Travel ensures a seamless experience with curated stops for authentic Albanian espresso and panoramic views of the Ionian horizon, allowing you to transition from the urban energy of the capital to the mystical atmosphere of the south.

Entering the Sanctuary: The Layers of Butrint

Upon arrival at the Butrint National Park, the air changes. Scented with wild eucalyptus and laurel, the park feels like a world apart. Under the guidance of Fiori Travel’s specialist historians, you will bypass the crowds and enter the gates of a city that has been inhabited since prehistoric times.

1. The Classical & Imperial Splendor

The journey begins at the Ancient Theatre, dating back to the 3rd century BC. Standing in the center of the semi-circle, you can almost hear the echoes of classical dramas. Your guide will explain how later Roman settlers expanded this space, integrating their architectural prowess into the existing foundations. Nearby, the Temple of Asclepius—the god of healing—reminds us that Butrint was once a sacred destination for pilgrims seeking cures and spiritual rejuvenation.

2. The Early Christian & Byzantine Heritage

As we wander deeper into the shaded forest paths, the Great Basilica emerges. This 6th-century structure, with its towering stone walls, evokes a sense of solemnity. Perhaps the most breathtaking site is the Baptistery, famous for its intricate mosaic floor. Though protected to ensure its preservation, the stories of its sixteen colorful medallions—symbolizing eternal life and the salvation of the soul—are brought to life by our expert storytelling.

3. The Venetian Sentinel

Climbing toward the acropolis, the scenery shifts to the medieval era. The Venetian Castle, perched atop the highest point of the hill, offers a commanding view of the Vivari Channel and the triangular fortress across the water. Inside the castle, the Butrint Museum houses a collection of statues, coins, and artifacts that bridge the gap between the ruins you’ve walked through and the people who once called them home.

The Fiori Travel Difference: Beyond the Ruins

We believe that a tour should engage all the senses. After immersing yourself in the dust of history, Fiori Travel invites you to a traditional lunch overlooking the Ksamil Islands or the tranquil lagoon. Enjoy fresh seafood caught from the very waters once navigated by ancient sailors, paired with local olive oils and wines that have been produced in this region for millennia.
