🚐 Day 1 – From Komani Lake to Valbona Valley
We depart early from Shkodra and travel toward Komani Lake, one of the most stunning natural landscapes in Northern Albania. Created in the 1980s, the lake stretches through narrow canyons, offering emerald-green waters and steep cliffs that captivate every traveler.
The scenic ferry ride across the lake lasts about 2 hours and is one of the highlights of the trip, providing incredible photo opportunities. Upon arrival in Fierzë, we enjoy lunch at a traditional restaurant before continuing toward the Valbona Valley. The valley is renowned for its alpine meadows, karstic mountains, and crystal-clear streams.
Accommodation will be in a cozy guesthouse in Rragam, perfectly located for hiking. Spend the afternoon exploring the surroundings or simply relaxing while taking in panoramic views of the peaks.

🥾 Day 2 – Hiking to Mount Rosit (2000 m)
After breakfast, we begin the hike from the guesthouse to the hidden village of Kukaj, passing through Pllanë and Buni i Brahimit. Along the way, hikers will enjoy spectacular views of the surrounding mountains, valleys, and alpine meadows.
A picnic stop at Gryka e Hapunë offers panoramic vistas of Mount Jezerca, the second-highest peak in Albania. The trail continues to Qafa e Rosit at 2000 meters, located on the border with Montenegro. This hike is moderately challenging and lasts approximately 6–8 hours.
Return to Valbona for dinner and overnight stay.

🏞️ Day 3 – Crossing from Valbona to Theth
Today, we cross from the Valbona Valley into Theth, following one of the most iconic alpine trails in Albania. On the way, admire breathtaking views of Mount Jezerca and Radomira. The trail passes dense forests, alpine pastures, and crystal-clear streams, offering countless opportunities for photography.
Upon arrival in Theth village, check into a traditional guesthouse and enjoy a homemade dinner prepared with fresh local ingredients. Experience authentic northern Albanian hospitality and relax after a rewarding hike.

🌄 Day 4 – Exploring Theth and Nderlysaj
This day is dedicated to exploring the historical and natural wonders of Theth. Visit the Church of Theth, Lock-in Tower, Grunas Waterfall, and the Grunas Canyon. Cross the beautiful stone bridge of Gjelel and enjoy the serene alpine environment.
After a picnic lunch in a scenic spot, we hike along the Shala River to the village of Nderlysaj. Here, the natural pools of Kaprre provide a perfect spot to swim, relax, and admire the surrounding peaks and forests.
Return to the guesthouse for dinner and overnight stay.

💦 Day 5 – Kaprre Valley & the Blue Eye of Theth
On the final day, hike through the lush Kaprre Valley, passing small waterfalls, streams, and alpine meadows until reaching the famous Blue Eye of Theth, a turquoise spring of exceptional beauty. Continue ascending toward Qafa e Thores at 1670 meters, where our adventure concludes.
We then descend through the Boge Valley and return to Lake Shkodra, reflecting on the unforgettable landscapes, cultural encounters, and alpine experiences of the past five days.
